Maria has practiced exclusively in the area a succession law (estate planning) and estate administration since starting her career . Maria was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2009 and commenced her legal career in 2008 for a mid-tier law firm on the Gold Coast as a trainee solicitor.

Maria is passionate about all areas of succession law and elder law, enjoying problem-solving complex estate planning matters and assisting clients with their family’s estate administration. Maria’s experience in Wills and Estates extends to testamentary trusts for asset protection and various other trust structures, and also includes advice on complex Estate Planning, involving binding financial agreements, blended families, business structures and inter-vivos trusts where she encourages her clients to take a faciliatory approach to include their accountant and financial advisor in the process.

Maria’s experience also includes advising and assisting clients with powers of attorney, advance health directives, Elder Law including assisting clients with matters before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT), Estate Administration with deceased estates and Trust and Estate Disputes.

Maria is a member of the Queensland Law Society and Queensland Branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), which provides exclusive membership to a global professional association for members advising families across generations on planning their assets across generations.

Maria is a problem solver who keeps her clients’ goals at the forefront, taking a rational, direct and practical approach to resolve issues and provide her clients with legal advice in plain simple English.
